BCT's Social Skills Groups are comprehensive psycho-educational groups for adults, teens and/or children.
Meeting one hour each week for eight weeks, the group teaches skills such as:
Friendship Making
Introducing Yourself, Joining In, Cooperation & Rules, Asking a Favor, Sharing,
Apologizing, Expressing Empathy & Understanding Social Cues
Aggression Alternatives
Gaining Self Control, Problem Solving, Coping with Teasing, Accepting Consequences,
Admitting Mistakes and Understanding Others Feelings
Life Survival Skills
Listening, Asking for Help, Following Instructions, Contributing to Discussions,
Ignoring Distractions, & Deciding on Something to Do
Dealing with Feelings
Knowing Your Feelings, Expressing Your Feeling, Expressing Concern for Others,
Dealing with Your Anger, Overcoming Fear & Shyness, Relaxation Skills & Feeling Good
