Natural, Peaceful, Relaxed Childbirth?    You can have it!!
Mind-Body Birthing will teach you how.

This program was developed by me, Debbie Bryan, LPC, NBCCH, in response to my clients asking for ways to have a more positive, faster, easier birth experience that they can tailor to themselves.  Clients remain relaxed, alert and in total control!

No matter where you choose to give birth; in the hospital, a birthing center, or at home - Mind-Body Birthing can teach you to relax and allow your body to do what it knows how to do.

For first time mothers especially, fear of the unknown can create excessive anxiety which does not help them or their unborn child. Positive suggestion and confidence building is a vital component to help reduce the levels of anxiety and once again make the mother feel comfortable and confident about giving birth.

Each of the 4 classes last from 2 to 2 1/2 hours or you can have individual sessions with just you and your birth partner. These classes teach you how to have a more enjoyable, peaceful birth experience.

Learn to use self-hypnosis, massage and acupressure techniques to assist you in maintaining the control you want over your mind and body during labor and delivery, thereby reducing or eliminating discomfort and anxiety.

You and your birthing partner learn the skills and cues to deepen the relaxation as you physically and mentally loosen and prepare your body to facilitate the birthing process.

This knowledge can greatly increase physical comfort and allow your body to perform as it was meant to, in harmony with your mind.

You are able to choose any position that is comfortable for you; walk around, shower, use a Birthing Ball, etc., and keep your eyes open while your comfort level is enhanced by any of these activities. This is an important factor in facilitating a very relaxed labor that moves along quickly, since the descent and position of the baby's head and body can be greatly affected by the mother's position if she must remain immobile, as is common in other methods of childbirth. The Mind-Body Birthing Mom can also easily receive an IV without discomfort and direct her mental anesthesia exactly where she needs it during labor; anytime she needs it.

Classes are starting each month and if you register before October 2006 you will receive a Free Birthing Ball. Call for more information to see if this wonderful program is for you.   Mind-Body Birthing is best started months before your baby is due, but can be learned in an intensive session in the last weeks before the baby arrives.

The entire program consists of individualized training, hand-outs, audio tapes and, through October 2006, a Birthing Ball.   The fee for all four group sessions is $199 and may be covered by your insurance, especially if recommended by your doctor to reduce stress, anxiety and fears related to pregnancy and childbirth. ASK ABOUT OUR FRIENDS SPECIAL - 2 EXPECTANT MOMS CAN ENROLL FOR 15% OFF AND 3 OR MORE AT 25% OFF IF YOU ENROLL AT THE SAME TIME.  That is 15% OR 25% off EACH enrollment.

Benefits of using hypnosis for childbirth:

* A calm, peaceful birthing environment.

* Breech and posterior babies can be turned using hypnosis.

* Fewer interventions and complications during labor.

* Babies who are better sleepers and nursers due to fewer or no drugs in their systems.

What to ask Prospective Childbirth Hypnosis Instructors

Do they have a background in hypnotherapy (this is important)?

Do they have a background in childbirth education (also helpful)?

How long they have been teaching hypnosis for childbirth classes, and where do they teach the class (home, office, etc.)?

What materials do they provide with the class (books, tapes, CD's, scripts, phone help, etc.)?

How many of their former students have been successful using their childbirth hypnosis course (they should know)?

Why did they became childbirth hypnosis instructors?  Look for someone who LOVES teaching moms and birth partners.

Can they be recognized by insurance for childbirth education or hypnotherapy?

Does the hypnosis for childbirth training allow moms to be up and moving around, eyes open and energized?

Is the program adaptable to each mom's needs and wished?  (Many programs are not flexible in this issue, requiring moms and partners to do it the program's specified way)
