Mixed Silk

CHI Silk Infusion [Straightening in General]
Anyone who has used the CHI Silk Infusion when straightening their hair – did it make it soft, shiny and move-able? Not sticky, stiff, or contain alcohol?
I have very thick, coarse hair (I’m mixed) – and I wanted to know if the CHI stuff would add shine and body to my hair when I straighten it – or else it comes out looking dull and brittle.
[I have hair like this little girl:]

I’m sure with the right product, I’ll be able to get moisturized, shiny, silk feeling hair — so any product suggestions that I can buy from a Walmart or something would be awesome. (None containing alcohol as like the first ingredient though. I can’t use those kinds, it sticks my hair together)
Thanks. =)
Yes, I work in a hair salon and many customers love the CHI Silk Infusion! It won’t look dull or brittle. It’s the best to smooth out your hair and add extra moisture, especially if you’re damaging it with heat styling products. I usually add the serum to somewhat damp hair, blow dry, then use the CHI 44 Iron Guard (thermal protectant spray) and then straighten it. To keep extra moisture in your hair, rub a bit of Silk Infusion to the ends of your hair.
I wish it wasn’t so expensive.. or at least came in a bigger bottle!
Good luck.
